The Bones of the Build

Every finish in your home hangs on the framing. Crooked studs mean wavy drywall, doors that won’t latch and trim that never quite meets. We frame it straight the first time — crowned studs oriented right, headers sized properly, blocking where tile and grab bars will need it.

  • Interior partition framing — new walls, reconfigured layouts
  • Basement framing — steel or wood stud, furred walls
  • Additions & bump-outs — tied into existing structure
  • Load-bearing wall modifications with proper headers & supports
  • Soffits, niches & custom architectural framing
  • Blocking for cabinets, TVs, grab bars & heavy fixtures

Our process

How Framing Runs

Layout

Walls snapped to plan, door and window openings marked, load paths verified before a single stud goes up.

Build Straight

Studs crowned consistently, plates level, corners and intersections built for drywall backing.

Structure Right

Headers, jack studs and point loads sized to code — no sagging, no surprises at inspection.

Ready for Next Trade

Blocking installed, nailers in place, everything plumb. Drywall, electric and plumbing roll in clean.

FAQ

Framing Questions

Usually yes, if you’re adding or moving walls — especially anything load-bearing. We handle the permit paperwork and meet the inspector. Unpermitted structural work is a resale nightmare; do it right.
Yes, and we do it properly: temporary supports, correctly sized beam or header, and proper point-load transfer to the foundation. This is not a DIY job — get it engineered and permitted.
Depends on moisture and budget. Steel won’t rot or feed mold, which matters below grade. We’ll look at your basement and recommend honestly.
